If I were in charge, I'd find somebody else to be responsible for this database.
When I sign into Metalink there is a "Patched & Updates" tab.

Connect to Metalink, click on "Patches & Updates" tab, then "Quick links to the Latest Patchsets...", then on "Oracle Database", choose your OS and version and that's all.

How can we know what is your platform?
If you don't have the documentation from your vendor open it and see what is written on your CPU.
