Dear All,
I have a 300GB database for which the INDEXE's are built every month.
Please provide the pros and cons of using the ONLINE option while creating the indexes....

Why do you rebuild your indexes every month?

CON - wasted cpu cycles & disk I/O without any quantified benefit

What metric is used to determine which indexes would benefit & benefit by how much?
