hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew any ways other than the 'alter table' command and bringing table space offline to flush the data from the buffers to the disk for a particular table.

I came across references in some disussions that there are actions that can be taken on a table that will cause it to be flushed to the disk but the links were either broken or there was no particular way specified.

Also, after a check point, is it possible that 'uncommitted' data may be present in the data file on the disk? Is the rate at which checkpoint is done user controllable via some parameters?

TIA!
