Hi ,

when i am importing database on solaris 5.8 ,

i get error after 10 mins of starting import .

IMP-00003: ORACLE error 3113 encountered
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 3114 encountered
ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLEAbort (core dumped)

I don't know why this error is come because before this ,

databse is working fine .

i will also try on new database and also increase parameter's in init.ora file .....

Is there any body to help me ........

there must be a trace file generated...
look into or post post it..
post your version of oracle server ( target and source db)
version of EXP/IMP using...

hi... i m trying to create manual Data base on win 2000 and i am getin the error no ORA-03114, which syas that oracle not available.
one of my database is allready exist.... and its running perfectly. but when iam trying to create new data base i am facing this error.
so please could any one tell me the soluation for the same.
