Hello All,
I am installing oracle 8.1.6 on the window 2000. and I am not able to create starter database. it will give an error in the automatic database creation step error like "credential retrival failure" so what is the problem. This things wroked fine on the Windows NT 4.0
Please give me a solution for this.

maybe u had ran out ur memory coz' i have tried w/ my ugliest PC P2 300 RAM 128, it works fine ,
or ... installing the starter database need copying and creating from script within the CD or Source, ur CD drive might not working or the CD was scratched
