Im getting that annoying "invalid staging area" problem when I try to load Oracle 8i on a Win 2000 Professional computer. Im even using the version 8.1.7 which is supposed to be for NT/2000 systems. I tried the ME and XP fix with JREW=0x00080000 in the winnt file and that didn't do a damn thing. Also I do not have a P4. It's a Celeron 667. Anybody out there with any solutions?

i have problem with oracle 8i enterprise edition release 3(8.1.7)
i have P-IV with 2000 propessional
the problem the setup file is not invoking when ever i double click (but no response) also from star > run menu
