Can somebody tell me how to install Oracle 8.1.7 personal edition on Windows Me(p4 machine)? I tried and always failed with the error message saying something about Jrew stuff.

I was told that Oracle will not run on Windows ME. It is not supported. That's what I was told anyway.

Open your win.ini file
Go to compatibility95
add a line :
Jrew=0x0008000

Hopefully it will help
