I have a column in an Oracle Table that is of type MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY.
I would like to retrieve the coordinate information through Java.

Which is the most efficient way of doing this ?

If you take a look at oracles example it will pretty much explain how - using the sdoOracle package

for 8.1.7 look under
D:oracleora81mddemoorascv
