Dear All,

I had already cleared the examination of OCP except the training session.
Whether, I am eligible for the upgradation examination? Can I give 1Z0-050 examination?

Waiting for your valuable inputs...

Regards,
Ashish Kumar Mahanta

You can do the exam any time you want (Larry is not going to refuse to accept your exam fee) but you won't get the official accreditation until you do a course.

I do not know how to explain it more simply. I'll try.

You can do any exam any time you want. You will not get the official accreditation until you have done a course. Until you do a course (almost any course will do) all you have is exam pass certificates.

I believe he's asking what will happen if he takes the 1Z0-050 exam, then takes the 10g course.

Since OU really doesn't care about the order you fulfill requirements in, if he were to do that, once the course were completed and verified, OU should award both the 10g and 11g OCP designations to him simultaneously.

For that matter, he could go wild -- take the 1Z0-050 exam then the 1Z0-060 exam, then take the course and get a trifecta of OCPs simultaneously -- 10g/11g/12c. Seems a bit silly. However, every time chicken & the egg questions like this have come up on the OTN forums, OU reps have always insisted that the order of meeting the requirements makes zero difference.
