You mean,
size of backupsets?
You can compress them, but it comes with some CPU consumption.

hi mahesh,

maybe i dont like to use the cpu consumption. is there a way that i can changed the retention to 3days instead of 7days? what would be th safest commands.

here my rman generated files;

Well, that is your "retention policy". Your business requirements should decide that.
You need to look into your "recovery window" and set it accordingly.
Search this forum/google/Oracle documentation for more information.
