Windows Server 2008 64 Bit operating system. Need to setup the OraOLEDB.Oracle provide for a linked server using SQL Server 2008.

Installed (from advice on another posting) the 10203_vista_w2k8_x86_production_client.zip file, this installed correctly.

When I look in Microsoft ODBC Administrator, is it not an option to select. Also, it is not an option in SQL Server Management Studion as a provider for linked server.

I figured perhaps I needed to install additional stuff, so I did download the ODAC10203x64_oledb.zip, tried running the setup, it opens up the installer from the install above, the presents windows that says

"Java(TM)2 Platform Standard Edition binary has stopped working"

..and suggest options that don't work.

Any thoughts on why I can't see it? In the Inventory it says "Oracle Provider for OLE DB 10.2.0.3.0" is installed, I just can't see it anywhere. I did reboot.
