I am creating a batch script in windows (DOS). The script is to spool the results of a query to a file named (for example)test_07212008_14:10:56.

Where 07212008 is the date the script will run and 14:10:56 is the time in HR24:MI:SS format.

I am a unix guy and this DOS thing is killing me. Any ideas as to how I can do this in windows.

Why if you post a Windows question did you post this in Unix forum and Windows one?
If you had a look at Windows forum, you'd find answer to this question already asked several times.

Regards
Michel
