What effect does changing the statistics (updating, generating, removing, etc.) of tables/indexes have on an already executed query that is using the aforementioned tables/indexes whose statistics have "changed"? In short, once the execution of the query has started, does changing the statistics of said query's objects (tables/indexes) while it's still in execution mode have any effect on the execution time, or only on any subsequent executions of the query?
